Colorado Bans Vaping Inside and Near Commercial and Public Buildings
The Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act bans the use of e-cigarettes inside public buildings. Additionally, e-cigarettes cannot be used within 25 feet of buildings. The legislation addresses not only the use of e-cigarettes, but also traditional cigarettes and marijuana products.
Concerns over vaping grew when a study showed that Colorado has one of the highest rates of vaping and e-cigarette usage among high schoolers and teenagers. In an effort to address this, vaping is now included within the state’s smoking regulations. Proponents of the ban believe that banning the use of e-cigarettes in public areas will bring teenage use down.
